New Mexico Captioning and Realtime was founded in 1995 by Marcia J. Schick and Mary K. Loughran, both Certified Court Reporters in the state of New Mexico.

Marcia has worked as a freelance and official court reporter for over 39 years, and holds the Registered Professional Reporter and the Certificate of Merit, which are certifications given by the National Court Reporters Association.

Mary has worked as a freelance court reporter for over 27 years, and also holds the Registered Professional Reporter certification, as well as the Certified Realtime Reporter certification, and the Certified CART Provider certification.

Both Mary and Marcia began training and working in all aspects of captioning in the early 1990s, and have built NMCR into a full-service captioning company providing Broadcast Closed Captioning, Open Captioning, CART, both onsite and remote, and Educational CART.
